ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

This acceptable use policy (UAP) document is an integral part of your Agreement with NC Broadband an SLC Security Services LLC brand and is designed to help protect NC Broadband's customers and the Internet community in general from irresponsible or, in some cases, illegal activities. Customer agrees to comply with this AUP at all time and to remain responsible for its users. A customer who engages in prohibited activity described in this AUP risks having its account suspended or terminated. NC Broadband may in its sole discretion determine whether a customer is in violation of this AUP. If NC Broadband becomes aware of any violations of the conditions of this service contained herein, we may cancel your account immediately and without notice. In the event that you believe that you have been a victim of abusive or illegal usage of the service, please contact NC Broadband immediately.
By placing an order with NC Broadband and using our service, you are presumed to have accepted this AUP. A copy of this AUP is signed when you acquire our services as part of your contract for service. NC Broadband reserves the right to modify the AUP at any time, effective upon posting at www.ncbroadband.net or by regular mail.
Unlawful Uses Prohibited
NC Broadband service may only be used for legal purposes. The illegal use of this service may result in criminal, civil, or administrative liability. Unlawfule users include without limitation the following:

Any illegal act involving the Internet or cyber crimes

Storing, posting or transmitting materials constituting or encouraging conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any local, state or national or international law, including without limitations U.S. export control laws and regulations.

Storing, posting or transmitting obscene, pornographic, profane, or otherwise objectionable information of any kind

Storing, posting or transmitting materials, e-mail or information that would constitute an infringement upon the patents, copyrights, trademarkes, trade secrets or other intellectual property rights of others

Storing, posting or transmitting harassing, threatening, fefamatory, libelous, slanderous, or abusive materials, e-mail, or information.
Abusive Uses Prohibited
In addition the following practices are prohibited on our networks unless authorized by written exclusion in your contract.

The sending of Spam or UBE through any NC Broadband server

Resell or distribution of any network or signal, accounts may only be shared with written authorization from NC Broadband

Falsifying user information or the sharing of login information to any third party

Hacking or modification of any NC Broadband installed software, equipment or electronic devices

Using any software or program to bypass any restrictions in this AUP
Customers should take prompt corrective action(s) to resolve a violation of the AUP and to help prevent similar future violations. Customer is solely responsible for any post or communicatoins that originate from the customers network. Network monitoring by NC Broadband may be authorized only as to ensure the terms of this AUP or with a valid court order. NC Broadbands failure to enforce the AUP in every instance in which it might have application does not amount to a waiver of NC Broadband or SLC Security Services LLC rights and/or legal remedies.
